If love indeed comes in all shapes and sizes, the affection painfully shy Lars (Ryan Gosling) bestows on his new girlfriend still comes as a shock to his pregnant sister (Emily Mortimer) and her husband (Paul Schneider)-since his beloved Bianca is in fact a life-size plastic doll. As townsfolk's discomfort gives way to warm support, Lars' unusual relationship takes some deeply emotional turns. Patricia Clarkson, Kelli Garner co-star. 107 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.
